I don't feel anything — what's wrong?

Tactus needs the Taptic Engine, which is built into iPhone. Make sure you're on a physical iPhone (not the Simulator), that your phone isn't in Silent mode with System Haptics off, and rest the phone flat on your open palm — your palm feels far more than your fingertips.

Do I need to play my own music?

No. In Live mode, Tactus listens to whatever music is around you. In Demo mode it plays a built-in track so you can feel it anywhere. You can also pick a song file in Song mode.

How do tilt and touch work?

With the phone resting on your palm, roll your hand left to feel only the bass, right to feel only the beats. Touch the glowing shape on screen and slide from its center (deep bass) to its edge (bright shimmer).

What is a tactile print?

Every session of 30 seconds or more leaves a tactile print — radial artwork unique to that song. Open it to share the image, or tap "Feel it again" to replay the whole session through haptics.

Are captions private?

Yes. Live captions are transcribed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. No audio ever leaves your phone.

Does Tactus collect my data?

No. Tactus collects no data at all — no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. See our Privacy Policy.
