Executive OS is engineered to keep your data on your device. We never collect, transmit, log, or sell your data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no remote backend operated by us.
All assets, tasks, vault entries, decisions, time blocks, and audit logs are stored in encrypted blobs (AES-GCM 256-bit) inside the application's sandbox. The master key is held in the iOS Keychain, protected by a biometric- and passcode-bound access control (kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly + .userPresence). The encryption key never leaves the Secure Enclave.
Encrypted files are excluded from iCloud and iTunes backups by default. To create a portable backup, use the in-app encrypted export feature. The exported file is itself AES-GCM encrypted with your device key and is unreadable on any other device.
If you provide an Anthropic API key in Settings, the app may send anonymized contextual summaries (scores, headlines) to Anthropic's servers to generate enhanced briefings or decision analyses. No personally identifying information is sent. Your API key is encrypted at rest with the same master key. If you do not provide a key, the app runs entirely offline.
Face ID / Touch ID / passcode are used solely to unlock local data. Notifications are used only for local reminders generated on-device. Microphone, camera, and calendar access (when applicable) are scoped to the explicit feature requested and never persisted beyond the resulting encrypted entry.
An audit log records security-relevant events (unlock, screenshot blocked, settings change, etc.) for your own forensic review. The log is encrypted and stored on-device only.
You may erase the master key and all encrypted data at any time from Settings → Wipe All Data. This action is irreversible.
Executive OS is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
