Is it really free?

Yes. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no "Pro tier" hiding the good features. Free means free.

Where do my recordings go?

To the Recordings folder inside Voice Studio Pro's own storage on your device. They never leave unless you share or export them.

Can I record in the background?

Yes. iOS shows the standard "app is using the microphone" indicator while Voice Studio Pro runs in the background.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The app does not need the internet for anything — including transcription and AI summaries (both run on-device).

Why are my Apple Watch recordings not appearing on iPhone?

Make sure both apps are open at least once after install, and that Bluetooth is on. Transfers happen in the background — sometimes within a minute, sometimes after both devices are awake.

How do I export a ringtone?

Open the recording → ⋯ menu → Trim & export → "Export as ringtone". The segment must be 30 seconds or less. Save the .m4r to Files and import it via GarageBand → Share → Ringtone.

What's the highest quality I can record at?

24-bit WAV at 48 kHz — true studio lossless. M4A goes up to 320 kbps. Pick in Settings → Recording → Format.

The transcript is wrong / not appearing

Transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework. It needs Speech Recognition permission (granted on first transcribe). If a language isn't supported on-device, the transcript may fail silently. You can re-run from the detail screen with the ↻ button.

I deleted a recording by accident

Sorry — there's no trash yet (planned). If you had iCloud sync enabled, the file might still be in your iCloud Drive's Voice Studio Pro/Recordings folder.

Can I get a refund?

The app is free, so there is nothing to refund.
