Overview

TV Remote (“the App”) is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external server. Everything happens on your device and your local Wi-Fi network.

Data We Access

To provide remote control functionality, the App requires:

Local Network Access

The App uses Bonjour/mDNS to discover TVs on your local Wi-Fi network. This data is used only to display available devices and establish a direct connection between your iPhone and your TV. No device information leaves your local network.

Device Identifiers (Local Storage Only)

We store the following on your device using Apple’s standard UserDefaults system:

• Identifier of the last TV you connected to (for quick reconnect)
• Pairing tokens from your TVs (e.g. Samsung token, LG client key) — required by the TV manufacturer’s protocol
• Your in-app preferences (input mode, haptics, audio cue settings)

This data never leaves your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry.
• We do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.
• We do not sell or share any data.

In-App Purchases

If you subscribe to TV Remote Pro, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We receive only the purchase status (active / inactive). We do not handle or see your payment information.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at the same URL with an updated “Last updated” date.
