Tonewise is a chromatic instrument tuner, metronome and drone. It is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your data.
None. Tonewise does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app works fully offline and requires no account.
Tonewise uses the microphone only to detect the pitch of your instrument in real time, on your device. The audio is analysed live and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Microphone access is requested the first time you open the tuner and can be revoked any time in iOS Settings.
The app stores your preferences (instrument, tuning, reference pitch, metronome and drone settings) and a local practice log on your device only, using Apple's standard local storage. This never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app. You can clear your practice log any time.
There are no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies in this app.
Tonewise does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
